We kicked off the GlobeMed's Global Health Week with a tabling event themed "Watching AIDS disappear". On Monday afternoon (4/22) at Browers Steps, staff members raised awareness about HIV/AIDS prevention. Various pieces of candy were attached to factual cards and handed out to people passing by. Members found this successful because the candy incentivized people to learn about AIDS. Onlookers were also encouraged to take the condoms that spelled out AIDS on a poster board.
