Staff Member Applications are here!!

Thank you to everyone who showed their interest in becoming a Staff Member at Tuesday's meeting! We had a great turnout of an amazing bunch of people, and we're excited that you're as passionate about social justice and global health equity as we are.

For all those who weren't able to make it to the meeting on Tuesday, if you haven't heard, we're currently accepting applications for Staff Members here at GlobeMed, so if you would like to get involved, now's the time! As a Staff Member, you'll be an integral part of our chapter. Everything that we hope to accomplish as a chapter depends on our ability to work together as a team. Having said that, it's important to note that we are opting for quality over quantity, so please give considerate thought to the questions being asked on the application. We really want to be able to have a solid group of people and while we understand that everyone is extremely busy with schoolwork and other extracurricular activities, being part of GlobeMed means actually being involved. GlobeMed expects a lot from the students at each chapter, regardless of position,, so it's imperative that everyone be able to make GlobeMed one of their top priorities. Attendance at weekly meetings, which may last up to an hour and a half, will be mandatory, and on certain days, you may need to come prepared with readings for discussions. That being said, we're sure that you'll all be an amazing addition to GlobeMed at Rutgers University as we take our first steps into creating change through solidarity!

Finally, if you are chosen to be a Staff Member, we will be having a Staff Retreat on Saturday, February 11. The retreat is mandatory (unless a legitimate excuse is given). More information will be given upon acceptance, so please keep this date open!

Once again, all of us here at GlobeMed are excited about your interest shown in our chapter, and we're positive that we'll be able to accomplish great things this coming semester and many more semesters to come!
